Late spring, early summer, I almost always sit beside the creek which is close to our property to draw. And if I keep perfectly still, and quiet, insects will appear and climb to the top of the long grass to catch the morning sun. It is lovely, and things start to happen before your eyes, which, in an illustration, actually looks like this.
