Bugs and Bikes

I had an opportunity to sketch up a 1985 GSXR Suzuki for this illustration. I wandered about the bike, taking in its contours, and it was a nice flowing sort of bike to sketch, with a lot of character. I did some quick pencil sketches first to get a feel for the bike, and from there it went to a full-blown A3 ink drawing

I couldn’t help adding some characters who popped out of nowhere, as they do when you are out blowing down the main road, on your bike, to get out of town. Darn, if you don't collect some unsavoury characters along the way.
