The Picture in the ‘About’ page of Patio Pam…
…is about when she was in her box under my desk and I had rigged up all her toys to be sitting at the front and hopefully looking close enough at the camera. It took 19 photos, and a heap of patience, before she finally gave in to tiredness and melted into the toys, so she looked like one of them. So cute!

Patio Pam is not the sort of dog that wants to ‘Go Walk About’ when it is raining, stormy or freezing cold. She enjoys the comforts of life on a lap, cushion, or, if it is sunny, sunbathing on her back with legs up to the sun. It is not always pretty.

But other times she is the ‘King of the Mound.’ She’s wearing a little coat since it was so cold and she had just had the haircut of all haircuts. The mound is certainly is not a pitcher’s mound, more like ‘Where on earth do we put all the grass clippings’ sort of mound. Although, take note Charlie Brown, it grows humongous pumpkins! Which is great but you just have to beat the rats to them! So Patio Pam sits atop the mound and surveys all her loyal subjects far and wide. It’s the only time she can really see above the grass.

Patio Pam can round up sheep and chooks (Kiwi term for hens
) with some directional help from me.
Bugger me, I cannot find the picture of her doing the rounding up. If I do I will post it here.

As Patio Pam wanders about the grassy mound and patch I do quick sketches of her adventures and more often than not Ritchie joins in the exploration. The above is a very quick sketch as I carry an A6 sketchbook with me always.
